John Franklin “Frankie” Williams, 58, of Sandston VA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 17th, 2026.
A proud native of King and Queen County, Frankie spent his youth there and later graduated from York Academy. From an early age, he developed a love for baseball and found great joy sharing the game with his sons; spending many seasons on the field coaching his sons’ teams. He loved to spend time at the beach, where the sound of the waves and time with his family brought him peace and happiness. He always enjoyed cooking, but a new found love of his was getting out to the garage to steam and pick crabs while listening to music. On weekends, he could often be found hunting for treasures at local yard sales, collecting antiques, and enjoying the history and stories behind his finds.
Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Leslie and a proud father to Johnny, Kyle and Stacey, always encouraging and supporting them, but found a whole new level of happiness becoming a grandfather, cherishing his grandbabies beyond measure.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, John “Beck” and Angela “Angie” Williams and his beloved son, John “Johnny” Williams, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Williams; his son, Kyle Williams (Kailyn); his daughter Stacey Dunkelberger; a sister, Angel Levy (Mike); and his four precious grandchildren: Tristan, River, Lyla Joy and Lara Wynn; as well as numerous family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local Humane Society.
