Eliana Dori Gordon, affectionately known as Ellie, passed away suddenly on July 14, 2026, in Fairfax, Virginia. Born on July 3, 1998, Ellie lived a vibrant and meaningful life, leaving us far too soon at the age of 28.
A devoted daughter, sister, and friend, Ellie was known for her bright personality and infectious laughter. She was a proud graduate of Norfolk Academy, Class of 2016, and went on to earn her degree from American University in 2021. Ellie’s passion for security and event coordination led her to a fulfilling career with AIPAC, where she was a founding member of the security department. Her dedication and efficiency made her a beloved colleague and a trusted professional.
Ellie had an array of interests and was a woman of many talents. A huge fan of the Washington Capitals, she rarely missed a game and could always be found cheering her team on. She taught herself to sew, creating costumes that brought joy to those she visited in the hospital, embodying her compassionate and creative spirit. Crafting was another pastime she cherished, often sharing her creations with loved ones.
Her commitment to her faith was unwavering, as she lived her life guided by the teachings of the Torah. A dedicated member of her Chabad Community in Northern Virginia, she also found joy and camaraderie as a member of the Star Wars 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion—volunteer organizations who donated their time to entertain sick children that held a special place in her heart.
Ellie is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Gertrude Kent, and Freda and Tavia Gordon. She leaves behind a family who adored her: her parents, Randi and Steven Gordon; her siblings, Evan and Marah Gordon; her cherished four-legged baby, Grogu; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Ellie Gordon’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, as her light continues to shine through the love and laughter she shared with the world.
