Jackie “Jack” Dale Fowler, 84, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on June 3, 2026.

He was born in High Point, North Carolina on May 17, 1942 and was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Franklin Fowler; mother, Cloris Elaine Smith Fowler; brothers, Cecil Fowler and Wayne Fowler; and sisters, Roxie Fowler Bliss and Dixie Fowler Swain.

He attended Hampton High School before beginning his work as a Pipefitter.

Jack was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Virginia, and the Azelea Society. He enjoyed planting numerous varieties and sharing with others. He was also an avid fisherman. Jack did many years of genealogy research and shared his findings with family and others doing similar research. He loved to joke and make people laugh, he often said “It’s my job in life to make people laugh.”

Jack is survived by his wife, Nancy Ramsey Fowler; sons, Robert Dale Fowler and Michael Lloyd Fowler; grandchild, Cassandra Elizabeth Pendleton; and brother, Gerald Fowler (Mary). Jack is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jack’s memory to St. Joseph’s Indian School, PO Box 326, Chamberlain, South Dakota, 57326.
