Johnnie Howell, a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at the age of 79.
Born on June 16, 1946, in Norfolk, Virginia, Johnnie dedicated his life to the caregiving industry, working diligently as a Nurses Aide, where he touched the lives of many with his compassion and kindness.
Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mabel (née Eagerson) and Henry Howell, Johnnie leaves behind a large circle of family members and friends who will cherish his memory and miss him dearly. The Howell family were devoted members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Norfolk, Virginia, where they found faith, fellowship, and a strong sense of community throughout the years.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date, yet to be determined, to honor and celebrate Johnnie’s life. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery, located at 8100 Granby Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23505.
Johnnie Howell will be remembered for his gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to those in his care. May he rest in peace.
