VIRGINIA BEACH — Patricia Ann Lynch, affectionately known as Patsy, passed away peacefully at her residence in Virginia Beach, VA, on April 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on July 17, 1942, in New Castle, DE, Patsy lived a life filled with love, creativity, and devotion.
Patsy was a woman of remarkable talents and unwavering faith. A dedicated homemaker, she took pride in crafting her own breads and cultivating a beautiful vegetable garden. Her passion for health and nutrition led her to author a nutrition cookbook, sharing her knowledge and love for wholesome living with others.
In addition to her culinary pursuits, Patsy was a certified florist. Her artistic spirit shone through in her paintings, which all admired. She was an accomplished woodcrafter and operated the Busy Wood Shop from her garage, creating and selling crafts for over a decade. Patsy also had a keen interest in puzzles and was known for her intelligence, though she often humbly downplayed her abilities. Her entrepreneurial spirit was evident in her ventures selling makeup and crafts, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and creativity.
Above all, Jesus was the center of Patsy’s life, guiding her actions and providing her with strength and peace. Her faith was a beacon to her family and friends, who cherished her wisdom and compassion.
Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Sheldon Lynch; her parents, William Opal and Betty Townsend; her daughter, Jeanette L. Lynch; and her siblings, Nancy Opal and Jimmy Opal.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Sheila Daigle (Matthew) of Chesapeake, VA, Debora Lynch, and Janine Cox (Brian) of Virginia Beach; her cherished grandchildren, Natasha Scott, Daniel Harvey, Brandon Cox, Jevon Cox, Nathan Cox, Matthew Jacob Daigle; and her adored great-grandchildren, Leon Harvey, Sean Harvey, Elowen Cox, Kayden Daigle, and Haven Daigle. Patsy is also survived by her dear siblings, Diane Bell, Jannie Opal, Billy Opal, and Jeffrey Opal.
