Michele Louise Hiegel, aged 63, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, in Toano, Virginia. Born on July 31, 1962, she lived a life full of warmth, adventure, and dedication to her community.
Michele was a beloved member of her Virginia community, where she cultivated friendships and participated in shared projects that brought joy and unity to those around her. Known for her vibrant spirit, Michele was an exceptional host, delighting in throwing parties and lavish dinners where she extended her warm hospitality to friends old and new. Her home was often filled with laughter and camaraderie, reflective of her generous heart.
An avid and adventurous traveler, Michele cherished her recent journeys through Italy and Scandinavia, embracing the rich cultures and experiences each destination offered. Her passions included ballroom dancing and knitting, pursuits she engaged in with enthusiasm and skill. Michele dedicated much of her time and energy as the Secretary of the Board of her home association, working on behalf of her neighbors to ensure a harmonious and thriving community.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Richard and Christiane Hiegel. Michele is survived by her two sisters, Adrienne Hiegel and Nicole Bomann, and five nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Michele’s life will be held on Monday, December 15, at 5:00 p.m. at Bucktrout of Williamsburg, located at 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
Michele’s spirit of generosity, love for adventure, and dedication to her community will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
