Charles Emerson Tenney, fondly known as “Charlie,” passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born on June 27, 1933, in the heart of West Virginia, Charlie lived a fulfilling life of 92 years.
Charlie honorably served his country in the United States Military, demonstrating unwavering dedication and patriotism. Following his military service, he continued to contribute to the nation by working as a Facilities Officer for the United States Government. His career was marked by a commitment to excellence and integrity.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Charlie cherished spending time with his beloved wife, Ruth Mildred Tenney. Together, they shared countless memories and a deep bond that spanned decades.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell Clyde Tenney and Audra DeBarr Tenney. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ruth, who was the center of his world.
