Stanley Meushaw, 92, of Williamsburg

Stanley Meushaw, 92, passed away peacefully in Williamsburg, VA after spending his final days surrounded by his loved ones. He lived a full and active life, cherishing his wife of 70 years, Nancy, and his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A 1950 graduate of Gaithersburg High School (MD), he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After leaving the Navy, he owned a masonry business, Stanley Meushaw & Associates, Inc. and was on the board of directors for the Masonry Institute, Inc., and a member of the Suburban Maryland Builders Association. He had a special place in his heart for Chincoteague, VA, where he and Nancy built a vacation home.

They retired to Green Valley, AZ, in 1997 before relocating to Virginia in 2019. In 2022, they settled in Williamsburg. He was very athletic and enjoyed baseball, golf, bowling, and roller skating.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Kerry Meushaw (Kathy), Manassas, VA; Julie Angleman (Alan),Williamsburg, VA; Kenneth Meushaw (Tammy) of Mechanicsville, MD; Beth Stein (David), Georgetown, DE; niece Laura Laute (Gordon), Ocala, FL; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and many other nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his mother, Martha DeVries; father, Ralph Meushaw; and sister, Marcia Moore.

The family is very grateful for the support of Edgeworth Park and Wings Over Virginia Hospice that cared for him in his final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Mutts With A Mission service dog organization.
