Frances “Fran” Jean Palmer, 90, passed away on June 6, 2025, in Williamsburg, Virginia. Born in Frederick, Maryland on May 2, 1935, Fran spent her early years in the Baltimore area with her four sisters.
Fran had a successful career as a purchasing manager at Bell Atlantic (later Verizon). She took great pride in her family, her home and her work. Her home was a welcoming place for her many nieces and nephews throughout her lifetime. Fran lived in Northern Virginia for many years before retiring to Williamsburg in 1999.
Fran was famous for her annual dish contributions to her family’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter celebrations.
Fran’s sisters, Dolores, Evelyn, Mary and Loretta and her niece, Carol and Nephew Alan preceded her in death. She is survived by eleven nieces and nephews and 21 great-nieces and nephews.
