Sapphira “Ritchie” Lipscomb entered into her heavenly home on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Florence, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving family.
Ritchie was born in Horry County, South Carolina, to the late Seals Marion and Leila Martin Richardson. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Julian T. Lipscomb, Sr., her brother, Favis Richardson, and her sister, Minnie Dudley.
Ritchie is survived by her sons, Terry (Kelly, grandchildren, Logan, Evan and Makenzie, great-grandchildren, Colton, Beau and Lane), Scott (Olivia, grandchildren, Riley and Ross) and Eddie (Becky) Branch. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara (Bobby) Owens, Patsy Johnson, Peggy Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Ritchie loved gardening, working in her flowers, vacationing with friends, shopping in Williamsburg and entertaining friends. She retired as an accountant with the Foreign Mission Board in Richmond after 47 years of service.
