Barbara Anne Distasi, born on May 16, 1941, in Bergen County, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 83.
Barbara dedicated over two decades of her career as an Executive Secretary for a former pharmaceuticals company, retiring after 20 years of faithful service. Her work was characterized by diligence and commitment, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
Barbara had a love for shopping and found joy in receiving daily packages from Amazon, a testament to her zest for life and eye for finding treasures big and small. Her cheerful spirit and warm smile will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Eleanor and Charles Many. She is survived by her devoted sister, Jerilyn L. Burres, and her husband, who will cherish her memory along with many friends and acquaintances.
Throughout her life, Barbara kept a steadfast faith in God, which provided her comfort and guidance. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and a source of strength for those around her.
At this time, there are no scheduled services to take place. Barbara will be laid to rest at Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia, where she will find eternal peace.
