Deborah “Debbie” Ann Puckett, age 67, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025 surrounded by family and friends.
Debbie was born to Marcia (née Draffin) Foss and Robert Foss in Medina, New York. After graduating from L.A. Webber High School in Lyndonville, New York, she worked for a short time at a local Hallmark Shop and relocated to Virginia Beach with her husband Harley White and went on to have 2 children, Douglas Clayton White (Sylvia) and Rebecca Florence (née White) Davis (John).
In November 2001 Debbie met Steven Monroe Puckett and spent the next 23 years happily married. The couple enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Debbie enjoyed crafting, singing, baking and cooking.
Debbie was predeceased by her mother, Marcia (née Draffin) Foss. She is survived by her husband, Steven Monroe Puckett; her son, Douglas Clayton White (Sylvia), daughter, Becky ( née White) Davis (John); grandchildren, Jackson Davis, Jacob White, Deacon Davis, Lola Davis and Holly White; father, Robert Foss; sister, Tammy Toma (Rob); brother, Bill Foss (Susan) and beloved Yorkie, Zoe.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church located at 1024 Harpersville Road, Newport News, VA 23601.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support breast cancer research at Susan G. Komen.
