Norma Sue Grant, aged 92, peacefully passed away on April 18, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Born on November 8, 1932, in Haysi, Virginia, she lived a long and fulfilling life, bringing joy and love to all who knew her. Norma was a cherished member of the London Bridge Baptist Church community, where she found solace and strength throughout her life. Her faith and kindness were evident in her interactions with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Grant, and her dear daughter, Helen Kiser. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved them.
Left to honor Norma’s memory are her devoted children: daughters Gail Lawhorn and husband Eddie of Virginia Beach, VA, and Donna Albright and husband Skip of Myrtle Beach, SC; sons David Grant and Mark Grant, both of Virginia Beach, VA. Norma also leaves behind three adored grandchildren: Bridget Hopwood and her husband Brad, Shawna Lawhorn, and Christopher Grant, as well as two precious great-grandchildren, William and Joshua Hopwood.
The family will receive friends at London Bridge Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 29th from 12 to 1 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Norma’s life will follow in the church sanctuary at 1 p.m., with the committal taking place at Princess Anne Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of one’s choice.
