Ernest ‘Skip’ Edward Paster, born in November 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away at his home in Carrollton, Virginia.

His life was a testament to love, family, and a profound appreciation for animals, especially his cherished dogs. As a proud veteran of the Korean War, Ernest exemplified courage and dedication.

He began his career working in various bowling alleys, where he developed a keen knowledge and expertise in the field. With determination and entrepreneurial spirit, Skip eventually founded his own business, Mid Atlantic Bowling Service, specializing in installing bowling alleys throughout the region.

A true animal lover, Ernest found immense joy and companionship in the presence of his pets. His deep passion for caring for dogs was a defining aspect of his character, reflecting his nurturing spirit and compassion.

Skip is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years, and who was truly the love of his life. He is also survived by his sons, Roy (Mia) Paster and David (Nikki) Paster, as well as his daughter, Sandi (Al) Alessandrin. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Kristen, Lauren, Erin and Anthony. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Florence Kline, his brother-in-law, Yoshihiro ‘Ross’ Saiga, along with his extended family in Kyoto, Japan. As a devoted husband and father, Skip consistently prioritized the happiness and well-being of his family, a testament to the love he embodied throughout his life.

Ernest will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart, commitment to family, and the warmth he brought to everyone around him. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever reside in the hearts of his loved ones.

Rest in peace, Ernest. You will be deeply missed.
