Robert K. Gilbert, 65, of Shacklefords, VA passed on February 8, 2025.
Robert was a retiree of Virginia Farm Bureau, who loved fishing in the mountains with his son-in-law. He had a tremendous work ethic that he diligently tried to instill in his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Gilbert; and two brothers, Kenneth and Earl Gilbert.
Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, Tammy L. Gilbert; daughter, Tonya Sterlachini; son, Robert J. Gilbert; mother, Thelma Gilbert; best friend, Brian Sterlachini; grandsons, Tyler and Justin Sterlachini.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
