Andrea Sean Grimes, age 61, of Williamsburg, VA passed away on February 2, 2025. She was born in Baltimore, MD on November 8, 1963 and was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Lambert Grimes and former spouse, Michael Allen Grimes.
Andrea completed her undergrad at UMBC and earned her master’s degree from the University of Maryland. Her love of education continued as she became an English Instructor for colleges in Maryland and Virginia.
She was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church, where she was active with many church activities. Andrea enjoyed reading, travel, scrapbooking, trivia, and was an avid Baltimore sports fan. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter and children.
Andrea is survived by her mother, Bonnie Lambert Cooper of Williamsburg, VA; father, John M. Cooper of Ocean City, MD; partner, Mervin “Tony” Pleasant; children, Thomas “Tom” Meade Grimes, Edward “Ted” Allen Grimes, Emma Catherine Grimes, Philip “Phil” John Grimes, Harrison “Harry” Michael Grimes (Christina Joy Knaus); granddaughter, Virginia Joy Knaus-Grimes; sister, Stephanie Gravel (Richard); and beloved cat, Lucy.
A service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 4897 Longhill Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
