Ronald Twiddy, 64, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 1, 2024. A beloved father, brother, and friend, Ronald’s warmth, wisdom, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on April 4, 1960, in Virginia, Ronald was the son of George Stewart Twiddy and Vivian Ethridge Twiddy. Raised in a loving family, he learned the value of hard work, the beauty of storytelling, and the importance of faith, all of which became central themes in his life.
Ronald had a deep love for the outdoors, finding solace and joy in fishing. Whether casting his line in freshwater lakes or the salty waves of the ocean, he treasured the solitude and connection with nature that fishing brought. It was his way of recharging his spirit and finding peace.
A talented craftsman, Ronald had an impressive tool collection and an unmatched skill in setting tile. He was a true jack-of-all-trades, always ready to lend a hand or tackle a new project. His ability to fix, build, and create reflected not only his expertise but also his generous and resourceful nature.
Music was another of Ronald’s great loves. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of a good beer and the sound of rock and roll on the radio, finding rhythm and joy in the songs that accompanied his life.
A man of deep faith, Ronald loved God and lived his life with a heart full of gratitude and purpose.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, George and Vivian Twiddy, his sisters Bonnie and Connie, and his brother George.
Left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughter, Rachel Twiddy, whom he loved fiercely; his brother, Richard Twiddy; and a host of other relatives and friends whose lives he touched with his generosity and spirit.
Ronald’s legacy is one of resilience, faith, and an appreciation for the simple, meaningful moments in life. Though his absence leaves an ache in the hearts of those who loved him, his stories, laughter, and enduring spirit will live on.
