Christine “Chris” Warren of Newport News

Christine “Chris” Warren (Weymouth Funeral Home & Crematory)

Affectionately known as “Chris”, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late William M. Warren. They were united into Holy Matrimony on March 13, 1971. Christine and Bill started their lives together in New Shrewsbury, New Jersey but eventually moved to Newport News to be even more connected to their close knit family.

Christine was employed at Belk and worked as an Associate Department Manager in Newport News until she retired. Christine’s devotion to her marriage and family is a true testament to her unwavering and steadfast kindness.

Christine was a woman of tremendous faith and love, as a faithful and devoted Jehovah’s Witness. Christine’s devotion was true and apparent as she attended weekly meetings and participated in her daily devotions. One of her greatest joys in life was attending yearly Conventions to gather with her friends and loved ones in faith. She treasured her time with all of her brothers and sisters in Jehovah, and she left a lasting and indelible memory of love and faithfulness in their hearts.

Christine had a warm and welcoming smile that could brighten even the gloomiest days. Her bright and endearing personality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Micheal Thomas (Dorothy) of Lexington, Kentucky; her sisters, Frances Persely of Lexington, Kentucky, Joan Thomas of Charleston, South Carolina; her brother, Cecil Thomas of Lexington, Kentucky; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rev. Wilbert E. Warren and Adline Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Newport News.

We share her strong faith in the time soon to come when the rule of God’s Kingdom in the hands of His Son Jesus Christ will end all mankind’s troubles and make the earth a paradise. (Matthew 6:9,10; Revelation 21:1-4)
