Marjorie Barnett Winter, 97, of Sandston, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2024.
Marjorie was a member of Corinth Methodist Church and was a member of numerous clubs, including the Sandston Woman’s Club, Sandston Founders Club and Red Hat Society. She will be greatly missed for her love of family and her gift of hospitality. She was a great listener and encourager.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Leo Winter, Sr and grandson Jonathan Taylor Winter.
She is survived by sons, Alvin Leo Winter, Jr (Dianne), Donald Michael Winter (Linda), Timothy Scott Winter, Mark Patrick Winter (Trina), and daughter, Carolyn Winter Bates (Bubba); grandchildren: Kenneth Winter (April), Thomas Winter (Christa), Joan Winter Budnick (Izadore), Grant Robinson (Amber), Nicholas Robinson (Alexa), Karen Bates Smith (Reid), James Bates (Kasey) and Skylar Winter. Great grandchildren include: Lucas, Savannah, Ani, Ariel, Vivian, Levi, Reuben, Declan, James, Samson, Ezekiel, Harlie, Maci, Forrest and Malorie.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 4 at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. Casual attire. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
