Thomas W. Cobb, Jr. (Weymouth Funeral Home & Crematory)

Thomas W. Cobb Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 18th, 2024 at the age of 80. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by his family and friends.

Tom or Poppy, as he was affectionately known, was a dedicated husband to his beloved wife of 60 years, Nancy Cobb. Their union was a testament to enduring love and unwavering devotion, setting an example for all who knew them.

As a father, Tom was a pillar of strength and guidance to his three children, Chris Cobb (wife Alejandra), Tom Cobb (wife Allyson), and Samantha Cobb-Jennings (husband Randy). His love knew no bounds as he supported them through life’s triumphs and challenges, imparting wisdom, and sharing in their joys and sorrows.

But perhaps Tom’s greatest joy came from his role as a grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. He adored his grandchildren, Jordan Corrigan (wife Crystal), Amy Jimenez (husband Erik), Mia Coast (husband Eric), Chris Cobb II, (wife Grace) and Ruger Jennings, great-grandchildren, Destiny Ollis, Charity Ollis, Emma Clark, Laylen Coast, Tydus Coast, Eliana Jimenez, and Krymson Coast and Chris Cobb III and 4 great-great grandchildren. His face would light up with a smile whenever he talked about them, and he cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

In addition to his devotion to family, Tom was known for his dedication to hard work, kindness, and generosity. He touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of those he encountered.

Though Tom may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on through the love and memories he shared with us all. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and affection.

A Celebration of Thomas W. Cobb Jr.’s Life will be held at Dodd RV located at 7023 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Yorktown, VA 23692 on Saturday, May 25, 2024; the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and at 5:30 p.m. a celebration of life ceremony will begin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, in honor of Tom’s legacy of compassion and generosity.

Rest in peace, Tom. Your love will continue to shine bright in the hearts of your family and all who had the privilege of knowing you.
