Robert Donald LeRoy, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on the 18th of October 2023, at the age of 72. He was born on the 24th of May 1951 to Donald and Vi LeRoy in Marinette, WI.
Robert, known to friends and family as Bob, Dad and Grandpa Arizona, worked for most of his life at Honeywell (formerly Garrett and Allied Signal) in Tempe, AZ. After retiring he moved to Virginia Beach, VA with his wife, JoAnne, where he spent most of his time volunteering at his grand children’s school and soccer clubs.
Bob was a beacon of support and kindness, always ready to lend a hand when needed. He would never miss the opportunity to strike up a conversation with a stranger, finding common ground with anyone. He had an infectious spirit, where he was always ready with a quick joke to bring laughter to those around him.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnne, his children, Barbara and David, his brothers Tom, Ron, Jon and Mark, his sister Sandy, as well as four beloved grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Rich and son James.
