Rev. Christian George Morales, 76, passed away October 1, 2023.
Christian was born in New Orleans, LA. He was the pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Chesapeake and he previously served congregations in Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas and Alabama. Additionally, Christian served as the editor of the Affirm publication. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and above all spending time with his family.
Christian was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Florence (Saltarrelli) Morales, and his son, Peter Justin Morales.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Morales; daughters, Ann McGowen (Raymond) of Stapleton, AL; and Dr. Renee Morales (Trevor Prokos) of Chesapeake, VA; sons, Nathan Morales (Kristen) of Moyock, NC; and Adam Morales of Chesapeake, VA; sisters, Zita Whitmarsh of Slidell, LA and Laurie Broussard (Paul) of Grosse Tete, LA; brother, Paul H. Morales, III (Darla) of Kenner, LA; grandchildren, Hunter, Sarah Brooke, Noah, Zoe, Hannah, and Scarlett; many nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
