Janice Lorraine Havron (Altmeyer Funeral Home)

Janice Lorraine Havron, beloved wife, devoted mother, sister mentor, and cherished friend, passed away suddenly on September 17, 2023. She was born on April 24, 1968 in Virginia. Despite the brevity of her time with us, Janice had a love for life that cannot be measured by mere numbers.

At the age of 55, Janice left behind a legacy that transcends her life and time here. Her remarkable journey included various roles, showcasing her vibrant spirit and determination. Janice spent 14 years working as a store manager at Sunsations at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, mentoring hundreds of young people from all around the world.

However, her true passion revolved around healing and art. As a Reiki Master and crystal healer, Janice had the gift of not only mending souls, but also nurturing them. Her empathetic nature paved the way to pursue becoming a certified life coach; offering guidance and support to those who needed it most. Additionally, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), demonstrating her unwavering commitment to helping others. In her later years, Janice embarked on a new path to become a tattoo artist. Working with her husband as her mentor, it is a unique reminder of her talent and creativity.

Beyond her professional achievements, Janice delighted in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for gardening, hanging plants, and growing vegetables allowed her to find solace in nature. Basking in the warm embrace of the sun, spending time at the beach, and in her later years exploring the mountains, all brought her immense joy. Camping and sitting around campfires with family and friends were her favorite pastimes. Janice’s passion for music resonated deeply within her, enriching her daily experiences.

Her adoration extended to her beloved pets – her constant companions throughout her life’s adventures. Janice left a significant impact on her family, including her devoted husband Shawn Havron, and her children, Kara, Kyle, and Ryann. She is also survived by her loving parents Karen and William Sale, her brothers Edward and Robert Sale, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless numbers of friends.

In 2001, she met her soulmate Shawn Havron at the Haunted Fun House in Virginia Beach. Their unwavering bond flourished over the course of 22 incredible years with 14 of those years being married. It was fitting that they tied the knot on Halloween – a day filled with magic and enchantment, just like their union.

To honor Janice’s memory, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30 at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Southside Chapel at 2 p.m. Following the service, a reception will take place at Artisan Tattoo Shop: 3513 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Virginia Beach. It will be the perfect opportunity for friends and loved ones to share stories, laughter, and love.

As we bid farewell to Janice Havron, let us remember her vibrant spirit that touched so many lives. May her legacy inspire us to embrace every moment, find joy in life’s simplicities, and never forget the power of love and self-expression.
