Swindell Brooks Style, 83, of Williamsburg, formerly of West Point, passed away August 30, 2023. She was born January 8, 1940 to Pearly Mayo and Clay Brooks. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 29 years, Ivan Styles.
Meme, as she was known to many, is survived by her “kids” Brett Varboncoeur of Mattaponi, Ryan (Arly Ross) Varboncoeur of Richmond, and Emily (Patrick) Shaner of Williamsburg. Meme enjoyed lunches with the Kish family, lighthouses, and anything Elvis Presley. She will be missed by many. The family would also like to recognize her dear friends Rachel and Den, Bharati, Muriel, Ms. Mary, and Ms. Mildred.
A visitation will be held at Vincent Funeral Home, West Point, on September 22, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on a future date.
