Michael Edward Hazelwood, born in Long Beach, California, on August 19, 1947. Passed away unexpectedly at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia on May 2nd, 2023 at the age of 75.
Despite the shock and sadness of his passing, we choose to remember Mike’s life with a positive and uplifting tone. His passions included fishing, especially deep sea fishing, hunting, gardening, bike riding, swimming and he was a regular at the gym.
But Mike was so much more than his hobbies and interests. He was a loyal friend, and a skilled craftsman in his work. Working for a long time friend Frank Hightower as an electrician, he showed pride in his profession and dedication to his customers.
While we grieve his loss, we take comfort in knowing that Mike left behind a loving family who will keep his memory alive. His son Michael Shane Hazelwood, and wife April, along with his brother Thomas R Hazelwood and wife Pamela, sister Ellen L Hazelwood, and nieces and nephew will cherish their memories of him.
