Senior Chief Petty Officer ( Retired ) Robert Joseph Hojnacki Sr. ( HOJO ) passed away on March 30, 2023 surrounded by his family when he took his last breath. HOJO was predeceased by his wife Patricia, son Robert J Hojnacki Jr. ( Bobby ) and daughter Susan.
He leaves behind his daughter Sharon Holmstrom ( Jack ) , beautiful grandchildren Chase Holmstrom, Mckayla Hojnacki, Robert Jackson Holmstrom and precious great granddaughter Harper Elizabeth Holmstrom.
Hojo was active duty on the USS Forrestal and Inchon for which he as very proud to serve his country.
He was a member of the Princess Anne Rec Center and loved spending time with the other “seniors” playing cards and socializing.
He was always there for everyone will be missed by all his family and friends who witnessed his generosity, sense of humor and smile.
A service will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at Saint Simon’s by the Sea Episcopal Church in Sandbridge. 308 Sandbridge Road. Virginia Beach. Parking is behind the church.
