Rowe, Marjorie F., 78, of West Point, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, R. Sherman Rowe; her parents Russell O. Hellie and Callie Drewery; two sisters, Mary Ann Culliton and Helen Snell; and a beloved grandson, Thomas R. Rowe.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Rowe Grimes (Greg) and son, S. Darrell Rowe (Brenda), four grandchildren she adored, Amie C. Grimes, Johnnie G. Grimes, Katie F. Grimes, and Walker D. Rowe; as well as brothers and sister in laws, nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
Marjorie received many awards for her exceptional work ethic, having worked for Walmart in Gloucester, VA for over 19 without missing one day of unpaid work. She was the perfect person for working retail, she never knew a stranger. She enjoyed her co-workers like an extended family and missed them when she retired in 2010.
The family would like to extend a special heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful Amedysis Hospice Nurses, Barbara, Katherine and Lindsey, as well as the entire staff of Three Rivers Health and Rehab center. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Sunny Slope Cemetery, West Point.
