Leslie R. Collins, Jr., 76, passed away in Newport News, VA on March 30, 2023.
Les was born in Palmer, Massachusetts to the late Leslie R. and Carolyn Collins. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tampa and his MBA from The College of William and Mary. Les was a Lieutenant in the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War.
Les is survived by his wife, Sheryl, whom he was married to for almost 55 years; his daughters, Koren Roddey (Tony) of Newport News, VA and Heather Sirgany (Edward) of Durham, NC; 5 grandchildren, Alexander Berry, Olivia Berry, Amber Roddey, Madison Sirgany, and Benjamin Sirgany and 4 great-grandchildren.
Les was Sheryl’s best friend, and they did everything together. The two of them had a passion for traveling and had been all over the world. He was a terrific husband and an amazing father. Les was a kind, brilliant, and loving man. He loved his family unconditionally and will be deeply missed.
The family will be having a Celebration of His Life in the coming weeks.
