Gordon Henry Harris entered eternal rest on February 20, 2023, at his home in New Kent, Virginia. He was born on July 30th, 1938, in Farmville, Virginia. He was predeceased by his first wife, the mother of his children, Shirley J. Harris, his second wife Rose Marie Harris, and a daughter, Cynthia Lawson.
He leaves behind 2 sons, Gary H. Harris (Cindy) and John G. Harris (Kaye), a bonus son, Trey Bollinger, who he loved as his own, as well as 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Gordon was a steel fabricator and spent over 50 years in the trade, he also had a great passion for listening to good ole Bluegrass music. He loved his work so much that he was still employed with his buddies at American Metal Fabrications in Richmond, VA when he passed. He was very active at Emmaus Baptist Church, New Kent, VA serving as a Sunday School teacher, singing in the choir, and on the Buildings and Grounds Committee for over 40 years.
