James H. Whitmore, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2023. James retired from Bell Atlantic in December 1992.
He was preceded in death by his son, Darryl L. Whitmore of Chesapeake. He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Roxanne Kohlman of Newport News and Azure Koziomkowski of Montana; two stepchildren, Diana Botts and James Drury of Windsor, and lots of grand and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Weymouth Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
