William David “Bill” Sexton, 73, of Quinton, Va. passed away peacefully on August 22, 2022. Bill was a country boy at heart, and he loved to spend as much time as possible outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his horses and dogs, shooting groundhogs, or just standing in the sunshine for hours. Bill was a stern man and there was never a question as to what was on his mind, but he also had a soft side and loving heart. He was always helping others, especially when it came to fixing cars.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sexton; mother, Ruby Moore; four brothers, Howard, Bob, Joe, and Harold Sexton. He is survived by his longtime partner, Shirley Jefferson; four daughters, Tammy Sexton, Sarah Martinez (Carmelo), Clarise Bradshaw (A.J.), Heather Bowery (Brandon); two brothers, Junior and Roy “Jack” Sexton; five grandchildren, Taylor Hart, Isaac Jones, Bailey Hart, Juliette Martinez Jones, Caroline Bowery; and special family member, Ida Harris.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 27 at Kingdom Hall, 5501 Mountcastle Rd., Providence Forge, Va.
