Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Moran, 66, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Cindy was born in Williamsburg, VA and lived most of her life in Newport News, VA. She had previously lived in Roanoke Rapids, NC, Queens, NY and Emporia, VA.
Cindy enjoyed thrift shopping and collecting snoopy memorabilia. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church and volunteered twice a week at the church’s food bank.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Ryland S. Sizemore and Anna Lee West Sizemore. She is survived by her children, Timothy Moran, Michael Moran, and Melissa Blowers (Christopher Blowers); her significant other and companion for the past 16 years, David Jerkins; her siblings, Patricia Giffin (Don Giffin), Karen Gray (James Gray) and Roger Sizemore (Bonnie Hofmeyer); 7 grandchildren and 5 great–grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home. . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Peninsula SPCA, 523 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
