Jackie Fitzgerald Crump Brown, 74 of Charles City went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 12, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Brown, son, Charles Brown, Jr., and a devoted daughter-in-law Susann Brown. Grandchildren, Brent (LaDonna) Jefferson, Charles Brown, III, Antuan and Nyla Brown. Great grandchildren, Lyric Johnson and London and Adrian Jefferson, brothers Douglas (Carolyn), and Joseph (Angela) Crump; Daughter at heart, Laurie Adkins and Goddaughter, Rhonda Adkins; Aunts, Delores Brown, Bernadine Allen, Vivian Paige, Aljourna Parker and Delores Crump; Uncle, George (Gertrude) Brown; Nieces, Anissa Collins, Kesha Dabney, Jo Ann Adkins, and Lamelia Cypress; Nephews, Carlos Jones and Price James. Sisters at heart, Carolyn Adkins, Eunice Whethers and Juanita Horton. Special Cousins, Dora Draper, Lorae, Louis, David, Russell, and Royce and Ruby Paige, and Susanne Baker. Also, a host of other special family and friends.
Jackie loved traveling, cruises and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always cooked a lot of foods for people, that others didn’t want to cook because it was too much work. Having such a kind heart, she would put the work in for them. When friends and family left her home after a visit, she always sent something with them to take home. She gave completely of herself to anyone in need, even opening her home up to many. She was truly the hands and feet of Jesus.
The viewing will be Thursday, July 14th 6-8 PM at Vincent funeral home. A funeral service will be held Friday 11 AM at New Vine Baptist Church. Interment Church Cemetery. After the burial, the family will receive friends and family at the Chickahominy Tribal Center located at 8200 Lott Cary Road Providence Forge, VA 23140 for a repast.
