Daniel Christopher Miles Sr. 89 of Charles City Va, passed away on Friday July 1, 2022. He was the son of the late Joshua Miles and Irma Miles(Crewe).
Daniel, also known as Dap, or Dapper Dan, was educated in Charles City Co. Public Schools. Daniel had three brothers and five sisters. He loved fishing, hunting, working on cars, picking with his wife and good music. He was even in a local band called Hickey Dick and the Ramblers where he played the guitar. Daniel joined the military at a young age and became a soldier in the Army and served for some years. Daniel married the love of his life Alice Miles and they had four boys whom he loved very much. He taught them all how to be great men, work on cars and take care of their family. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Alice, his parents, two brothers and 4 sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his four sons, Daniel Christopher Miles Jr.(Kathleen), David Edward Miles Sr., Robert Benjamin Miles (Carla), and Deitrick Ramo’n Miles Sr.(Latika); one brother, Joseph Miles (Sherry); one sister, Louise Tabb; 13 grandchildren, Shama’ Bolden (Radell), Robert Jr, Jessica Miles, Jaleesa Berkley, Christopher Miles(Totiana), Daniel Christopher Miles III, Isiah James, Deitrick Ramo’n Miles Jr, MyKella Miles, Donovan Miles, David Edward Miles Jr, Damieon Miles, and DayShawn Usanga; 15 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A funeral service will be held 1PM Thursday July 7, 2022 at Vincent’s Funeral Home 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. Interment will follow services at Gilfield Baptist Church, 6640 Church Ln, Charles City, VA 23030. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
