James “Jimmy” E. Tysinger, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Newport News. In 2005, James retired from Newport News Shipbuilding as a Sheet Metal Mechanic.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Tysinger and his parents, Edmond “Dunny” and Margaret Tysinger. He is survived by his daughter, Darlynn Bell; his son, Kevin Tysinger and his wife, Tracie and four grandsons, Justin and Travis Bell, Trevor and Christian Tysinger.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
