Anthony “Tony” Joseph Ciotta, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Mary Immaculate Hospital. Tony was born in New York, NY to his parents, Anna Serra and Guiseppe Ciotta. After completing High School, Tony joined the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Staff Sergeant after 22 years of Honorable service. He had a second career at Fort Eustis in Civil Service for over 20 years. Tony was a member of the American Legion Post #368 and the Icelanic Association. Tony loved to go bowling and his 1980 Corvette.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inga Kristin Ciotta; his son, Tony Ciotta and his sister, Theresa Eberle. He is survived by his son, Joseph Ciotta and wife, Karen of Newport News, VA; his daughter, Anna Costello and her husband, TJ of Geneva, IL; his daughter-in law Lori Ciotta-Brock; his brother, Joseph Ciotta and wife, Myra of Cullman, AL; 7 grandchildren, Alexis, Joseph, Tommy, Adam, Kasey, Courtney and Jon Paul and 2 great- grandchildren, Kynslie and Easton.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery with Military Honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please perform an Act of Kindness. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
