TOANO — Eugene Foster Pettengill, 87, of Toano, Va. passed away March 15, 2022.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman, especially bass fishing. He retired from Anheuser-Busch, and then went on to work for many years at Kiskiack Golf Club.
Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pettengill; his daughter, Denise Bowles; and his parents, William and Vivian Pettengill.
He is survived by his son, Fletcher Angle III (Renee), a brother, Ray Pettengill (Desi); a sister, Lou Hazelwood; a son-in-law Randy Bowles; two grandsons, Stewart Bowles (Lindsay), Stuart Pearman (Chelsea); three great-grandchildren, Emma Bowles, Paisley and Kinsley Pearman.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17th at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service.
