HAMPTON — Sheila Rose Prosser, beloved mother and wife, has gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 17, 2021 at 9:55 AM. She was preceded in death by Dylan Prosser, her oldest grandson. She leaves behind her husband, Jack Prosser of 64 years; three children, Barry Prosser and wife, Dale, Tracey Robeson and husband, Thomas and Timothy Prosser and wife, Gabriel. She was grandmother to 7 grandchildren, Dylan, Jerrod and Wyatt Prosser, Alice, Andrew and Kirsten Robeson, and Travis Prosser. She was also great-grandmother to Lilly and Liam Prosser.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church on Yorktown Road for 50 years and loved her participation and fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ. She worked as a Secretary in Civil Service at Langley AFB and retired as head secretary in 1994.

Mom was kind and a gentle person, loving and caring to all. She had a sharp mind, good intellect and a strong opinion in matters that were important to her. She was always welcoming to new friendships and kind to strangers. Her family was perhaps her greatest accomplishment, and she adored their company and they hers. The success of her three children and her importance to them is her testimony to this. She is greatly loved and will be missed more than we, her family, can say.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 5:00 at the church by Rev. Douglas Echols. Interment will be private in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
