NEWPORT NEWS — Amy Cummings, 48, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Amy graduated from Menchville High School and attended Thomas Nelson Community College. After graduating she began her career of 30 plus years as a Property Manager working as a leasing agent. Her work included managing and supervising building senior properties, owning and operating her own property management company. Amy had many loves: family and friends, her puppies, attending concerts with friends, the color pink, social media, texting friends, eating out, talking on the phone and wearing slogan t-shirts.
She is survived by her parents, Nancy and Paul Cummings and her daughter, Briana Skylar Murray. Her family celebrates her life and will cherish her forever as a gift from God. We will miss her every day. She can now walk with the Angels.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Weymouth Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Peninsula Memorial Park by Rev. Judy Worthington of Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church.
