HAMPTON — Shelva Jean Aldrich, 80, was called home Friday, March 12, 2021. Born Oct 21, 1940, in Perkins County, Georgia. She was a Peninsula resident most of her life and a member of Northside Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Aldrich; sister, Pauline Williams; daughter, Stephanie Smith; and granddaughter, Kristina White.
She is survived by her son, Charles Whitmer; daughter, Tracy Whitmer; granddaughter, Torie Welsh; grandsons, Shawn Whitmer, Charleston Smith, Justin Whitmer and Charles Whitmer Jr.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, March 21, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive, Hampton.
