WILLIAMSBURG — God called His servant, Deacon Robert Lee Hall Sr., 99, from labor to reward at the home of his daughter Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021. He recently celebrated his 99th birthday.
Deacon Hall is survived by his daughters, Verne Parker (Floyd), Barbara Wright (Clinton) and Shearline Melvin (Irvin); son, Rob Hall Jr.; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two nieces, Ethel L. Brown and Shirley Dillard; nephew, Arthur K. Wynn Sr.; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A walk-through viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. A homegoing celebration will be held at noon Thursday, Feb. 4, at Williamsburg Community Chapel. Livestreaming will be available at the start of the service. Interment with military honors will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. COVID-19 precautions will be in place.
