
WILLIAMSBURG — Charles Touron, 49, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.
He attended Elon University from 1991 to 1994 and earned a B.S./A.B. in Math/Physics; East Carolina University from 1996 to 1999, earning an M.A. Degree in Pure Mathematics; and Old Dominion University from 2001 to 2009, where he received his Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics. Charles served his country as a computer scientist for the U.S. Department of the Army.
A member of the International Math Association Club, he also enjoyed spending time with his family, attending Saint Bede Catholic Church and growing his relationship with the Lord.
Charles is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Brett Touron; daughters, Alexandria, Bayley and Abbey Touron; parents, Francis and Janice Touron; sister, Angela Touron; and grandmother, Catherine Denny.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. Mass will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, at Saint Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg. Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1, at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
