WILLIAMSBURG — Maribel Mayne Hawkins, 84, formerly of Spencerport, New York, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021.
Maribel is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John H. Hawkins; children, Heidi Hawkins and Peter Hawkins (Ruth); cherished granddaughters, Camryn and Lindsey Bindra; brothers, John Mayne, Richard Mayne (Maryanne) and Thomas Mayne (Deborah); along with dear friends, Eleanor Bater and Ruth True.
Maribel moved from Bergen, New York, to Spencerport, New York, when she married John in 1956. She raised her family and was actively involved in the local community and The White Church. They retired to Williamsburg in 1999. She made many new friends at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, golfing at The Williamsburg Club and through years of volunteering for Colonial Williamsburg.
Private interment services will be held in the future in Fairfield Cemetery, Spencerport, New York.
