
VIRGINIA BEACH — Christiana “Crisy” Monteiro-Parker, 44, of Bromley Court, an employee of Jan-Pro of Hampton Roads, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020, at home. She was the wife of Christopher Parker.
Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a daughter of Elizabeth A. (Monteiro) Evans of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Walter C. Whitmore of South Carolina. She lived in Georgia for several years before returning to Virginia Beach in 2017.
Crisy was a graduate of Green Run High School in Virginia Beach. She was the owner of a balloon company, Blow ‘N Up Balloons. She worked for Jan-Pro for 13 years, three years as chief operating officer.
Crisy was a very caring and loving person with a big heart. She had a strong personality, a quick wit and a quirky sense of humor. She loved being around young kids and making balloon creations for them. But above everything, she loved her family and wanted them to be happy.
In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons, Mikeal Monteiro of Virginia Beach, James Monteiro of Georgia and Ethan Monteiro-Parker of Virginia Beach; three daughters, Cassandra Monteiro of Mississippi, Adrianna Monteiro of Massachusetts and Breanna Barker of Virginia Beach; sister, Constance Tinsley; stepfather, James Evans; in-laws, George and Sylvia Parker; and niece, two nephews, four grandchildren and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1801 Baltic Ave., Virginia Beach. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
