VIRGINIA BEACH — Elvira “Elvie” Roxas Soriano, 70, daughter of Jose and Virginia Roxas, born Dec. 26, 1949, in Caloocan City, Philippines, died Friday, May 29, 2020.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Soriano; children, Romel Soriano, Jerry, and his spouse, Meredith Soriano, and Dennis, and his spouse, Janice Soriano; and siblings, Imelda Roxas of the Philippines and Erlinda Go, of Taiwan. She was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Jordan, Adrianna, Alyssa, Milan, Supreme and Canon.
Elvira was a loyal employee at Swim Ways from 1979 to 2018. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Pokeno with her friends. She was a honorary member of the Batangas Association and loved being surrounded by friends and family members.
Wake services will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel, 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. It is requested that state social-distancing guidelines be followed, and guests must wear masks. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 4, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
