Joan Cushman, 74, of the Claiborne community, Williamsburg, died suddenly Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert E. Cushman.
They retired to Williamsburg 15 years ago from Alexandria, where they both worked for 30 years for the U.S. government. Joan enjoyed sewing and bowling and was devoted to her dog, Cookie. She was also a close friend to JoAnne Alley.
A private interment will take place Thursday, May 14, in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
