Deborah Louise ‘Debbie’ Snyder Thompson, 66, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020, at home. Debbie was born Sept. 8, 1953, in York, Pennsylvania, to Claire and Jeanne Snyder.
She enjoyed engaging in all types of arts and crafts throughout her life, including crocheting, macrame, ceramics, cross-stitch, and recently, diamond painting. She also loved collecting lighthouses and anything lighthouse related. When Debbie wasn’t home with her family, she enjoyed time with her work family. She spent 33 years at the Fort Eustis Commissary and recently retired.
She is survived by her four children, Chris, Angel (Langston), Tiana and Anthony; 13 grandchildren, Lavina, Menico, Malike, DeVonte, Lyric, Nevaeh, Isaac, Elijah, Naomi, Noam, Shamir, Miadah and Kiyshaan; and her mother, two sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her father, Claire; and granddaughter, Bethany Maes.
