Herbert William “Herb” Wilson, 56, of Poquoson, passed away Saturday July 6, 2019. He was born Sept. 27, 1962, in Hampton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert H. Wilson and Edna Mae Napier; as well as by his first true love, Catherine A. Smith.
He is survived by his four children, Jessica N. Wilson, Casey E. Wilson, Amie L. Wilson and Rusty A. Wilson; five grandchildren, Autumn (11), Blake (9), Landon (3), Brennan (3) and Daniel 10 months; brothers, Joe Mc Lindon, Curtis Sykes and Thomas Wilson; sisters, Linda Daniels, Katherine Bateman, Rose Mc Lamb and Teresa Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews; significant other, Kristy Marshall; and his beloved dog, Trip.
He was a very talented carpenter. He loved to ride his motorcycles, be on the open waters and playing his guitar. He was a very kind-hearted man who dedicated his life to those he loved and was loved in turn by many. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his many family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 12, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 13, at the funeral home with interment following in Parklawn Memorial Park.
