Colby Linwood Hall, 24, cherished many friendships made at Grafton High School

Colby Linwood Hall, 24, of Hampton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019. Colby was born April 15, 1994, and was a longtime resident of Yorktown, where he attended Grafton High School. While in high school, he played lacrosse and football, always wearing his favorite number, 12.

In addition to sports, Colby loved the beach and the outdoors. Colby had an affinity for vehicles and could always be seen driving around in his Bronco or riding on his motorcycle. Colby still had many of the same friends he met during his time playing sports and attending school at Grafton.

Colby was always surrounded by his many friends, he loved to stay busy, was the life of the party and lived life to the fullest. Aside from his hobbies and spending time with friends, Colby was very close with his family, most importantly, with his two children, Blakely and Curtis, who he loved very much. Colby was also very passionate and proud of his job as a lineman, most recently employed with Lee Electric.

Colby was preceded in death by Curtis L. Hall Jr., grandfather; Wayne Cox, grandfather; and Ginger Cox, grandmother. He is survived by his loving mother, Kristie Hall (Andy); father, Dwayne Cox; dear children, Blakely and Curtis Hall; close siblings, Christopher and Hanna Underwood; grandmother, Carolyn Hall, with whom he shared a special bond; great-grandmother, Stella Bordeaux; very special aunt, Denise “Cece” Breen (Bruce); uncle, Scott Hall (Nicolette); aunt, Debi Arthur (Rick); close cousin, Lindsay Arthur, and cousin, Travis Arthur; great-aunt, Sandra Plank; great-uncle, Jeff Bordeaux; and great-aunt, Becky Bordeaux.

A memorial service for Colby will be held at noon, Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, Hampton. A graveside service will immediately follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
