Virginia Hall Mason, born March 8, 1919, in Campbell County, went to be with her Lord Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, just shy of her 100th birthday.
She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Glen M. Mason on Jan. 29, 1966, parents and all of her five siblings.
She is survived by five children, Glenda Covington (Bernard), Diane Dale (Terry), Morris Mason (June), Hannah Mason and Keith Mason (Monica); seven grandchildren, Michael Covington, Melanie Horner, Scott Dale, Sally Gardner, Tyler Mason, Todd Mason Heather Mason, and their spouses; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of James River Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was an amazing cook, seamstress, interior decorator and loved entertaining family and friends, but most of all, an amazing mom and granny. We will all miss her.
Funeral services and interment will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 7, at James River Baptist Church, 4931 Centerville Road, Williamsburg.
